The Picnic is held the weekend before Halloween on a Saturday at Taylor Park in Largo FL (see site map for directions). Some food and picnic supplies are provided, yet this is a Pot Luck event. We promote recycling. We organize into teams at the event to play kick ball, horse shoes, tug of war and hold sack races, our tie breaker is arm wrestling. Its Bug lovers verses Bus lovers. Most people don't stick to one team. We all love VW's we know at the end of the day both Buses, Bugs and Type 3s all rock. We're just one big happy family but what's a family without a little friendly competition. We have fun for the kids and the kids do get involved in the games. This is an event your kids will want to stay at all day while you enjoy the cars, friends and fun. If you have ever owned a VW or you have a good VW story, you're family too, this event is open to the public. Intoxicant of any kind used publically are NOT welcomed, per park rules.
